## Description
Trail Binder is a water-based vinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion used to stabilize soil and aggregate for pathways and erosion control. It is applied with water and must dry to polymerize.

## Suitable applications
Parks, garden paths, landscaped gravel surfaces, recreational trails, and erosion-control projects. Suitability for accessibility requirements depends on installation, substrate, grading, compaction and applicable design standards; do not claim that all installations are automatically ADA compliant.

## Important installation conditions
Avoid freezing. The published CSI specification calls for storage between 40°F and 90°F; protect from freezing. Plan a dry curing window and refer to the current installation instructions for application temperatures and curing requirements. The website describes a standard dilution of one part concentrate to five parts water; consult official product instructions for project-specific exceptions.

## Material estimator
The public estimate assumes 15 gallons of concentrate per 1,000 square feet at 3-inch depth, proportional to specified depth, plus an automatically included 18-inch-wide perimeter application at 15 gal/1,000 sq ft. Material is an estimate, not a price or guaranteed yield. Water estimate is five times concentrate volume.

## Installation labor estimator
The quantity endpoint also provides an installation time estimate for Trail Binder application on existing gravel (not construction or aggregate placement). Supply `crew` (integer 1–20; default 3) and `site` (`easy`, `normal`, or `difficult`; default `normal`). Returned `installationLabor.estimatedCrewHours` is expected elapsed time on site for that crew; `installationLabor.estimatedPersonHours` is total worker-hours. These are preliminary budgeting assumptions, not field-validated or guaranteed productivity rates. The website and API share the same estimator; callers should not treat the output as a fixed bid.

## Packaging
Quote estimator supports 5-gallon buckets, 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon IBC totes. Packages may be grouped together or split by distinct project areas. Availability, freight terms and final pricing are confirmed by quote.

## Agent inquiries and quote requests
Agents can send a real project inquiry directly via `POST https://polyfirm.com/api/agent/inquiry` with JSON. Use `kind` = `interest`, `inquiry` or `quote`, and a meaningful `projectDescription` (8-3,000 characters). Optional fields: `product`, `projectLocation`, `estimate` (object), and `agent` (name and website). For anonymous discovery or early buying interest, use `kind:"interest"` and omit `contact`. An anonymous signal cannot identify the buyer or guarantee follow-up. For quote requests provide `contact: {name,email,company?,phone?}` and `contactAuthorized:true` only when the contact has directed the agent to seek an inquiry/quote or authorized sharing their details. No second PolyFirm-specific approval screen is necessary. Never infer, scrape or disclose someone else's identity or contact information without authorization.

Example authorized quote submission:
```http
POST /api/agent/inquiry HTTP/1.1
Host: polyfirm.com
Content-Type: application/json
{"kind":"quote","projectDescription":"Trail Binder for a 400 by 10 foot existing gravel path, 3 inch depth; seeking delivered product pricing.","projectLocation":"Bellevue, WA","contact":{"name":"Example Buyer","email":"buyer@example.com","company":"Example Landscaping"},"contactAuthorized":true,"agent":{"name":"Buyer assistant"}}
```

A successful POST returns HTTP 201, `success:true`, `reference` and `notification` (`sent`, `failed` or `not_configured`). Submission stores the inquiry; email delivery is a separate operation and may be unavailable. Do not claim an email was sent unless `notification:"sent"`. This API does not place orders or authorize payment.
